Romance is all around us…
dating advice

This photo was a little frustrating, because the man spent most of his time with his back to me, and I couldn’t even see the woman. But eventually they both got carried away, and started rotating around in a circle. I was sitting about ten feet away from them, on one of the stone benches, and I don’t think I bothered them … indeed, I don’t think they paid any attention to me at all … :)

Note: this photo was published as an illustration in an undated (Feb 2010) Squidoo blog titled "1000 Questions For Couples – Compatibility Test/Quiz!" It was also published in an Aug 8, 2010 Dating Tips blog, with the same title as the caption that I used on this Flickr page. And it was published in an undated (Nov 2010) Latest Dating Tips for Women blog, with the same title as the caption that I put on this Flickr page.

Moving into 2011, the photo was published in a Jan 15, 2011 blog titled "The Best Ever Dating Tips for Shy Guys." And it was published in a Feb 1, 2011 blog titled "Mezcla de deseo y amor joven con restos de flechazo adolescente." It was also published in a May 17, 2011 blog titled "10 Alternative Ways to Get Pregnant."

Moving into 2012, the photo was published in an undated (mid-Jan 2012) blog titled "Is the romance over?" And it was published in a Mar 29, 2012 blog titled "Online dating advice that will double your dates."

This is a continuation of a set that I created in 2009 (shown here ) and 2008 (shown here ) to show a variety of scenes and people in the small park known as Verdi Square, located at 72nd Street and Broadway in New York City’s Upper West Side.

Franco Again

Franco said that, unlike the last time I took his picture, this time he’d try to look a bit less like he wanted me dead (see comment below for original.) I think he mostly succeeded. Mostly.

So sometimes I vanity google. I license a lot of my images Creative Commons: Attribution, so they get uploaded to plenty of Royalty Free sites, where they occasionally get reused. I’m fine with this — I’m happy when someone can use my images to illustrate some new content they’re generating. I only wish there were some way short of vanity googling that I could find out when they’re being used. But, I can’t think of an easy way, so it is what it is.

In any case I was pretty pleased the other day to find one of my self portraits illustrating "The Older Guy" type on a dating blog post. One of the things I had tried to catch in the original image (see comment below) was my wrinkles — my middle age. That usage of the image tells me that at least one other person got that aspect of the image.
